Westminster is a city of about 108,850 residents located in the Adams and Jefferson Counties, in the State of Colorado. It is a suburb of Denver located just 9 miles from the state’s Capitol. It was only in 1891 when the construction of the Westminster Castle began that the city got its final name of Westminster in honor of Westminster University after it was incorporated in 1911.
